Jump to: Personal Icons ~ Emoticons ~ Message Board Buttons ~ ezboard Profile Skins ~ ezboard Themes Personal IconsI've always thought that a single tengwa makes an elegant and unique personal icon. :) Use the one that corresponds to your first or last initial or your user name. (I can make more upon request. Some letters work better than others. I will make any new icons available here unless you specify otherwise.) The following icons are made using the tengwar for the Mode of Beleriand, which uses tengwar (letters) for vowels instead of tehtar (consonants). Some of them have other sound associations in the more common tehtar mode. There is actually more than one version of the Mode of Beleriand—these values are taken from the one that appaers to more closely match English spelling. Technically, these symbols signify particular phonetical values of the corresponding letters, but since we have already dispensed with phonetic spelling, we don't need to worry about that.
Emoticon(s)
If you want to use the Namárië emoticon on an ezboard, it is available at (be sure to remove the extra space!): Message Board ButtonsCurrently the only design available is the one used for the buttons in the tutorial, but it is available in five different colors, including one with a dark background. Each set comes with new topic, add reply, new poll, and next and previous topic images. (The next and previous images simply have a tengwar "n" and "p".) Click on the next topic image to download the zip file for that color. Here's what they look like:
Download here: NEW: The button set from the Ash Nazg theme. Some examples: ezboard Profile SkinsThis is a fairly simple design using the ring inscription. The fonts used are Tengwar Cursive and Tengwar Sindarin. And alternate version is available in shades of blue (CSS by Gwendelyne). You can mix and match the images with either style sheet. NEW! The third version, Ash Nazg Blue-Grey, uses dark blues and silver-greys. It uses the same images as Ash Nazg Blue but has a very different feel.
To use either of these skins, first upload the images to your own hosting space. Then copy and paste the entire contents of either of the text files into the CSS space under your account preferences. (Note that this is an ezSupporter-only feature.) Make sure to look for the three image URLs and replace them with the addresses of the images where you have uploaded them, or you won't have any images. ezboard Themes
