Fantasy-genre characters.Fantasy: Neldë (Third Gallery)

This page features dolls based on books, films, mythology, anything not of my own design, as well as dolls that are fantasy genre but do not represent any particular characters.

Tolkien

These are all actual Tolkien-created characters (NOT "fan art" because they are my own interpretations based on my research into the books), though some of them are rather obscure!

Moving from obscure female characters to famous female characters in obscure circumstances...A reqest for Lorani, who asked for Galadriel. Placing her at Alqualondë just sort of happened. Not adoptable.

A very, very young Aredhel, obviously. You can't go hunting in long, flowing gowns.
Aredhel Ar-Feiniel ~ 2/23/05
Morwen Eledhwen
Lady of Dor-lómin ~ 3/1/05
I figured that what with the name of this site, there should be a red-gowned Elf named 'Aranel'.

Other Fiction

This set of the kids from Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic books was really a study in base-making, trying to get at the relative heights and body types. From left to right, if you don't know them: Sandry, Daja, Tris, Briar.

Was supposed to be an attempt at a grown-up Daja in order to try to get that base to work.
Daja ~ 3/18/04
This very young Polgara brought to you by the really inordinate amount of David Eddings books I have read recently. I really love her hair.

Made for a Last Unicorn contest. Which I missed. I improved on the movie design a bit, I think, on the dress. ;)
5/26/04
From the musical 'Wicked'. For a contest. But I wanted to do it anyway.

I don't normally go in for this, but I felt like playing with cute pixel things for a contest. Yes, she does have a pencil for a wand. What did you expect, for me to take this *seriously?* The caption is just filling space.
You can just adopt this one, if you like, and pretend it's all symbolic and such.

Mythological

Greek mythology counts as fantasy, right? Cassandra, who could see the future but was cursed so that nobody would ever believe her. A request for Anaril (not adoptable).
Cassandra ~ 11/15/03
Greek princess Iphigenia - they had to sacrifice her to Artemis, who in some versions of the story whisked her away and sent a deer in her place. *I* would have been irritable. Request for Anaril (not adoptable).
Iphigenia ~ 11/28/03

Other

Dolls that aren't actually characters. Or else we're not admitting that they are... Or maybe they're someone else's characters.

She was supposed to be for a contest, but she was just too perfect, so I had to spoil it by getting her all wet. (Poor thing.)

Just a little red fairy for the Fantasy in Red awards.

Salli and I did this together for a contest. The one on the left is mine. I also did the cool lighting effects. Request for Jaeden. Her character.
